January 15, 7:00 PM at Good 'Ol Days. Our guest speaker is Dr. Michael J. Duckett, author and entrepreneur. Dr. Duckett will carry us through his life as an orphan (along with seven sisters) left on the streets of Detroit to how he became successful at the age of 23 through hard work and perseverance. He founded Upgrading Life, Inc. in 1996 to give back to others.
Family Science Night at Big Creek Elementary School
January 29, 5:30 p.m. at Big Creek Elementary School. Family science nights bring families together to learn about science. Unlike science fairs, in which students share their expertise with judges and visitors, everyone involved in a family science night plays a role in scientific discovery. While parents and students explore the world of science by participating in hands-on activities, instructors perform demonstrations and answer questions.
